Hive Inspection (June 8, 2018)

This is the first time we have been able to take a peek inside the hive since we relocated our new “nuc” of bees to their new home last month. These photos show that the girls are beginning to pull comb. If you look closely, you can see the “bulge” above the actual flat foundation. This is made of bee’s wax and is where the bees will rear their young and store their honey.
